ONCE UPON A SLIME...

Two college buddies named John & Bill moved to Hollywood to write movies and TV shows (including Nickelodeon’s hit comedy Splitting Adam) where they soon hatched their biggest, most awesome idea yet: a children's book called The World's Biggest Booger. Unfortunately, they couldn’t draw a stick figure to save their snot. Luckily, their good friend Sonya could - and added her signature slimy illustrations to help bring their vision to life in all its gooey glory. And just like that, Whipple Pine Press was born!

  • John E. Deaver (Author)

John lives in Lake Norman, North Carolina with his wonderful wife, four crazy kids, two lazy cats, and a dog named Indy. When he’s not dreaming up silly new stories, John enjoys playing guitar, cooking for his family, and – despite rumors to the contrary – NOT picking his nose.

  • William S. Walker (Co-Author)

Bill grew up in Boston, Massachusetts on a steady diet of movies, Red Sox games, and more movies. A self-reformed nosepicker, he now lives in Los Angeles writing screenplays, hiking, and coming up with disgusting new ways to gross out John.

  • Sonya Allen (Illustrator)

Sonya spent the last four years painting and raising her family on Ocracoke Island. These days, she lives in Japan (yes, that Japan) but still owns Art Ocracoke Gallery (https://sonyastudio.com), home to wild ponies, feral cats, and now, one very gigantic booger.
